最新考古成果顯示，早在5000年前，浙江良渚就已經(jīng)存在一座總面積達(dá)290多萬(wàn)平方米的古城，那么，文物“出土，發(fā)掘”怎么說(shuō)呢？

Archaeologists are excited at the prospect that the remains of a 4,000-year-old city - larger than the Forbidden City - unearthed on the east coast could be the oldest kingdom in the nation's history.

考古學(xué)家驚喜地發(fā)現(xiàn)，坐落于中國(guó)東部的浙江省良渚古城，面積比北京紫禁城還要大，距今約有4000多年歷史，且可能成為中國(guó)發(fā)掘出的歷史最悠久的古城。

這里，unearth 表示“（從地下）出土，掘出”，古城（被）發(fā)掘表示為“old kingdom unearthed”。遺跡，遺址即ruins/remains 。

詞綴un-加名詞構(gòu)成動(dòng)詞，表示”由...取出“，或”使...喪失“，例如unhorse（從馬上卸下），unmask （揭下面具），unthrone （廢除王位）等等。
